About Me

Traci Holland I have over 30 years of travel experience and I'm certified by the Travel Institute as a Destination Wedding Specialist (DWS). I have completed numerous specialty travel training programs for cruise lines, destinations, and top resorts throughout the world. I love getting very creative when developing customized travel plans for destination weddings, honeymoons, romantic getaways, and family vacations to excite and delight my customers.

Although I enjoy planning trips to destinations around the world, my true specialties are cruising and Western Europe. Since Western Europe is one of my special areas of focus, I have been lucky enough to visit this area of the world many times. One of my favorite trips was to Italy’s green heart, Umbria and Tuscany. Bordering no sea or other country, Umbria is the very heart of Italy and its traditions in food, wine, and living are very prominent. My trip started in Rome and I did as the Romans do; I ate and drank my way through Rome, Tuscany, and Umbria enjoying wine, pastries (chocolates made with chilies and saffron are very delicious), extra-virgin olive oil, chocolates (the Perugina chocolate museum is a must), and much more. What I loved most about this trip was experiencing all the beautiful aspects of this region without lifting a finger and without any responsibilities since it was all hosted by Trafalgar, one of our American Express Preferred Partners. I only had to show up and enjoy.

My most recent trip to Europe was on an Uniworld River Cruise around Venice and the Gems of Northern Italy, which is a close second on my list of favorite trips. The river cruise stopped at popular cities such as Bologna, Ravenna, Chioggia, and Verona (city of Romeo and Juliet). I also had the wonderful opportunity to travel to the UK visiting the fascinating multi-cultural city of London with its wide variety of entertainment and attractions as well as outer areas such as the popular White Cliffs of Dover (where on a clear day it is possible to see France), and the beautiful quaint and rural towns of the Cotswolds (an area where I would love to go spend more time exploring the various cities).

Another recent trip was to Amsterdam & Bruges Belgium with a day in Keukenhof, the most beautiful spring garden in the world. The gardens offer more than seven million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths fill over 32 hectares with color and fragrance whose beauty cannot adequately be put into words.

Leaving Europe and thinking about my favorite travel around the Americas, I adore the Hawaiian islands where I have journeyed a dozen times. There is so much to do and each island has its own personality and activities so there is something for everyone. While visiting Hawaii I’ve taken a glider over the pineapple fields of Oahu, biked down the side of Haleakala Volcano in the National Park of Maui, taken a helicopter ride over the beautiful waterfalls of Kauai, rode horseback on the beach on the Big Island, and of course just soaking up the sun on the beautiful beaches offered on all of the islands. It’s a long haul from the east coast, but I’ve found it to be worth the journey every time.

Also in the Americas, I have frequently visited Disney World in Orlando. I enjoy all of the Disney Theme Parks and Universal Studios. Planning vacations there for my clients is always fun. Closer to home than Hawaii, some of my favorite Caribbean islands are Aruba, St. Lucia, and the Bahamas. I also enjoy going to the different areas of Mexico like the Riviera Maya. I have explored many North American cities by land and cruised on some specular cruise ships like Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Uniworld River Cruise.

A very long flight from America are Australia & New Zealand, which I have been to several times. I highly recommend going to the outback and experience the life of the Aborigines and visiting the Queensland area, which is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Here you can whitewater raft, snorkel, or scuba just to name a few. New Zealand has two islands north and south. In the north you can experience the Maori culture and geo-thermo activity which includes the hot pool and Wautoma Glowworm Cave. The south side is a more open area for adventure seekers that might be interested hiking, forge, fly fishing, scenic helicopter rides and much more.

My Interests

I love traveling as much as possible to experience all I can as well as spending time with my three daughters, two granddaughters, family, and all of my friends. I enjoy reading and gardening in my down time.

My Favorite Trip

I took my family with a group of other families on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas. The ship is a destination in itself with seven Distinct Neighborhoods and popular Broadway shows, onboard zip lining, aqua theater, FlowRider surf simulators, ice skating, and so much more with something for everyone.

My Travel Tips

"Australia is almost as large as the USA. A lot of customers believe they can see everything in 7 to 10 days, which is simply not possible. It’s important you plan your time carefully and using a Travel Advisor that knows this destination is a must."

"For the best experience in Italy, I recommend seeing Vatican City by purchasing a "front of the line" tour from one of our preferred partners. This type tour is available for many popular museums and attractions throughout Western Europe to avoid long lines and explore the museums with guided experts. "
